Darryl Kobler, son of Raymond and Charlotte Kobler, was born on January 15, 1936. He died on January 30, 1961 when his navy fighter jet crashed near Catalina Island, CA. Wayne Kobler (Jan 11, 1922 – June 27, 1944) was the son of Art & Gertrude Kobler. An American hero during World War II, Lt. Wayne F. Kobler was part of the 318th Fighter Group, giving his life for his country. Lt. Wayne F. Kobler (19th) became one of the first army pilots killed.
