Paul Lee Kobler-Mars

Paul Lee Kobler Mars was the son of Fred and Edna Kobler. Paul was born Dec 30, 1918 in Hill City, KS, two months after his father, Frederick, died from influenza during WW I. After Fred’s death, Edna remarried Charles T. Mars and changed Paul’s name to Mars so her children would have the same last name. They lived in Grand Junction, CO.

Paul was a WW II Navy Lieutenant pilot, who flew bomber aircraft in the Caribbean and South Atlantic. He died 19 Sept., 1945 in a plane crash in Beaufort, South Carolina just weeks after having served in World War II.
